The city of Bath is in the South West of England in Somerset, neighbouring the city of Bristol by 12 miles and is West of London by roughly 100 miles. In 2011, Bath had a population of 94,782 according to Lovemytown.co.uk and the 2011 census. Originally in the County of Avon from 1974, it subsequently changed to being central in the County of Bath and North East Somerset after Avon was abolished in 1996.

Bath became popular as a spa town in the georgian era, which is why Bath has a large number of buildings built in Bath Stone of Georgian architecture. People also know Bath as a Spa town, from around A.D. 60 when the baths and temple were built. The Roman Baths are situated over Bath’s famous hot springs and were the centre of the Roman town, Aquae Sulis.

Bath has been a world heritage city since the 80's, another reason why so many film and TV programs have been filmed in Bath is because of it's natural beauty. Like The Royal Crescent which is the grandest of the elegant crescents, squares and parades that gained Bath the status of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is a handsome sweep of 30 houses and the view as you approach from Brock Street is one of the most famous streetscapes in Europe.

The City has a vast number of cultural and sporting venues which have helped to make it a major tourism destination. The city also boasts two universities and has a very large creative following, filled with artists, photographers, and designers alike.
